Adult study takes place on scheduled Shabbat mornings throughout the year in our members’ homes. We begin at 9:30 am with a buffet breakfast and time to socialize.
Rabbi Golub then leads a dynamic and enlightening session that provide an adult understanding of Judaism, often through the study of Midrash and rabbinic texts.
These sessions offer a rare opportunity to examine the relevance of tradition and scholarly commentary on the Torah as we ponder questions of personal identity and responsibility in a complex, secular world? Issues we have addressed include racial profiling, feminism, gay marriage, abortion, stem cell research, and the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction (BDS) Movement.
Join us on a Saturday morning. Our schedule is available online. Email contact@chavurah.org so we can share the location.
